Regional veterans join Klareco in next growth phase
Klareco Communications, an award-winning strategic communications consultancy in Asia, welcomes two industry seniors into its fold. With a focus on providing clarity in complex communications challenges across Asia, Klareco brings together proven industry leaders with the aim of becoming Asia’s powerhouse in strategic communications.
Ang Shih-Huei, Klareco Communications CEO, commented, “As we expand our presence in the region, it’s important to continue bringing to our clients the strategic counsel required for international firms seeking to deepen their Asia footprint, and to navigate on behalf of Asia-based companies that are extending their international reach. I am also excited to bolster our senior leadership and create a platform for talent that leverages our culture of entrepreneurship to pursue exciting opportunities, and to deliver creative solutions for our clients.”
The Asia-based organisation co-founded by Shih-Huei and Managing Director Mark Worthington is now joined by communications veterans Yvonne Koh and Prisita Menon as Senior Directors of Klareco. Both Senior Directors will undergo a formal Partner appointment process, with a view to providing insight-driven communications counsel and reputation management for in-country, regional and international remits.
Yvonne is a global communications leader with more than two decades of experience in campaigns and communications across the Asia Pacific and U.S. markets. As a trusted veteran in the field, Yvonne has led agency and in-house teams in winning several regional industry awards. Her industry experience includes fintech, consumer packaged goods, retail, lifestyle, travel, hospitality, healthcare and government communications. Yvonne has also previously led both public affairs and consumer teams in regional and multinational companies. Her recent roles include Asia Pacific Head of Communications at PayPal, Managing Director of Southeast Asia at MSL Singapore, and Senior Vice President in MSL’s New York office.
“I look forward to working with our clients to navigate the complex communications landscape in an age where digital transformation, disruption, and change are often the only constants,” said Yvonne. “My previous experiences working with Klareco have made me appreciate their international-mindedness, regional outlook, and local expertise in providing the high-level counsel that in-house communications experts need. The Klareco team were a valuable asset to me when I was in-house, and it will be fulfilling for me to return the favour as I work with our consultants, who are the next generation of communications professionals.”
Prisita comes with 13 years of communications experience in both in-house and agency roles. Her wealth of practice in professional services, financial communications, and fintech were drawn from her communications background in industries across asset management, property, government, micro-financing, financial services, and public affairs. She was most recently the Head of Cognito Singapore, where she was responsible for laying the firm’s foundational focus for its clients and expanding the team. She was also at the Ministry of Manpower for four years, where she worked on inter-governmental initiatives and worked closely with advertising agencies to drive awareness campaigns. In her early career at Ogilvy, Prisita honed her senses for integrated communications approaches through public and corporate sector 360 campaigns.
Prisita said, “I am thrilled to be taking Klareco to the next level along with the team. In this rapidly evolving business environment, we see more firms valuing, future-proofing, and protecting their corporate and brand reputations. There is an increasing demand for trusted agency partners that understand the client’s business and industry as well. Our clients entrust us with their assets, and I look forward to nurturing our clients’ reputation and communications methods with Klareco’s heritage and strategic counsel.”
